These were my go-to for a while, I typically lounged in them/ran errands/hung out. I didn't really do sports in them because they're a little thicker for that (for my liking). However, yes, they pill a lot! It's really disappointing because of how nice the pants are and for the price. If this is fixed, I'd absolutely buy again because they really are so flattering.
For context, I'm 5'5", around 130lbs, typically wear 2-4 in pants and got a size S

These would be my perfect pants if not for the pilling around the thighs and the weird ruined scrunching that happens at the ankle near the calf. I have owned 5 pairs of these so far and they all end up doing the same thing. I have read other reviews in which people also struggle with this strange phenomenon. Eventually they make the pants look ugly enough to not wear in public (unless you are exercising). That’s the great thing about these pants and why I have owned so many as they are the most versatile pants you can find. You can wear them out to brunch and also for mountain biking or hiking. You can wear them on a long flight or to pick up your kids at school.
BUT at some point they make the weird bunching on the front where the calf and ankle meet and then you’re sadly done. I don’t know exactly why it happens and I thought it was just me until I saw others commenting about it. Without this known problem they would be 5 star pants all day every day.

i love these pants. they’re so comfortable! normally i’m a small but i like a baggier fit so after trying the small and medium sizes and finding them too fitted, i got the large and like the fit much better — i do have to tighten the drawstring a lot, but it’s not a big deal. anyway, i’ve had these for a few months now and wear them nearly daily when i go on walks, and like other reviewers i’ve found that they’ve started to pill after each wash. i hand-pick the pills off each time. for the price, i would have thought they’d last longer without this type of issue.
oh, also i ordered black, bosc, and white, but only kept the black — bosc and white are see-through :( again, for the price point, i’d think OV could use a fabric that doesn’t pill and at the very least isn’t sheer. these are great pants otherwise and i’d even pay a little extra to have a higher quality material.

What do I think? I think I might not ever wear anything else! I will only admit to being less than 5 feet and under 100 lbs but they fit perfectly and I don’t have to shorten them. I can dress them up or dress them down. They’re perfect for travel - comfort & security with 2 zippered pockets. And the color options are great!

These are my go-to pants for gardening, hiking, and travel. They fit well, and work in both cooler and warmer temps. I love the zippered front pockets. However, the fabric pills horribly after just a few months of wear. Please fix this. There's got to be a better fabric option.
